I talk about whatever is on my mind. It ranges from op-ed pieces to video game reviews.

FDIC Running out of cash...Fast.
The Government program that Insures banks and assures you that you will get up to $250,000 back from government if your bank fails could be deep in the red by the end of this year. Anyone hear a toilet flushing? I think that's the value of the dollar going down the drain.

Fresh from the Back of the Refrigerator!
It's been a long time since I updated this blog last. I've been mostly concentrating on my other blog which too has been neglected as of late.
Quick updates (in case anyone cares) I'm now working at an unpaid internship for the Pacific University Office of Alumni Relations as the Communications Assistant. It's treating me pretty well. I'm doing it mostly for the resumé and the experience. It will turn into a work study job this fall which will be nice.
Ameeta and I have been working getting our Photography business up and running. Speaking of which, if I don't do it soon remind me that I need to write up a Digital SLR buying guide. It will be my philosophy on what camera YOU should buy. It'll be general principles to go by and I won't be pitching any particular brand. Its a good way to decide which brand and model will be good for you.
Anyways, now to the main inspiration for this post. Music.
I don't know why I am writing about this but I thought I'd share a new iTunes smart playlist Idea that I had and it is really working well for me. I call it "Back of the Refrigerator".
First and fore most make a "Harvest" type smart playlist. All songs for the "Back of the Refrigerator" will need to be pulled from here. Your Harvest type smart playlist should contain all of the playlists you want to be affected. For instance I have my main playlist, my "easy going" playlist and my workout playlist all going into my Harvest type Smart Playlist.
Once you have completed that you are ready to make your "Back of the Refrigerator" list. Call it what ever you want. Then put in the following settings.
Check "Match ALL of the following rules"
1. PLaylist is (whatever you named your "Harvest" list
2.Last played IS NOT IN THE LAST 1 months
3. PLay count IS NOT GREATER THAN 2 (this can be adjusted or removed later).
4. If you rate your songs in iTunes then select "Rating IS AT LEAST (however many stars)
Check Limit to 45 items selected at Random
Check Live Updating
There, Now you are guaranteed to have music you haven't listened to in a long time, fresh from the back of the refrigerator!

New Blog!
I will continue to post here from time to time for my own personal rantings. However, there are so many news stories out there that I want people to pay attention to that I started a separate blog for that. You can find it here. The news blog will obviously be updated more often. The best way to follow it is using the RSS feed. Google reader is an easy way to follow it.
News is only useful if people know about it. So please share the news stories with everyone you care about. Not all of the news stories will be serious or important. I will post stories that I think people might find interesting.
